Bathroom
Walls, floor and shower as one surface. No grout, no demolition, and the steel fittings and reeded glass stand out against the calm stone surface.

In short
- Surfaces
- Walls, floor and shower
- System
- Ready-mixed microcement, waterproof in every layer, waterproofing under the shower
- Time
- About a week, shower in use a week after sealing
Here the whole room is in microcement: full-height walls, the floor and the shower. In wet rooms we use a ready-mixed microcement that is waterproof in every layer, and waterproofing went under the shower walls and floor before laying.
The window in the shower is what most people notice. The microcement runs around the window and into the reveal without a single joint, so the water has no way in.
Colour and texture were chosen with lacquered samples in the room itself, because light greys change a lot with the light. The lacquer went on in three coats in the shower and two elsewhere.
